In order to facilitate you the travel planning, please find below our recommendations for a quick and safe journey.

Please choose your geographic direction you are coming from to Waldenstein

You are either coming from Salzburg or Passau

motorway A1 until the interchange "Linz"
then follow motorway A7/S10 till Freistadt
here you change to street B38/B41 till Gmünd
at the first roundabout in Gmünd take the exit towards Sole-Felsen-Bad / Waldenstein
in about 6 km you will be at Camping Waldenstein

You are coming from Styria or Carinthia

Option 1

You follow the motorway A9 till the interchange "Voralpenkreuz"
then follow the motorway A1 till the interchange "Linz"
take the motorway A7/S10 till Freistadt
here you leave the motorway and follow street B38/B41 to Gmünd
at the first roundabout in Gmünd take the exit towards Sole-Felsen-Bad / Waldenstein

Option 2

You follow either the motorway S6 or A2 from the south
follow the motorway till the interchange "Vösendorf"
here you change to motorway A21 till the interchange "Steinhäusl"
then follow motorway A1 towards St. Pölten
at the interchange "St. Pölten" take the exit to S33/37A to Krems/Donau
then follow the streets B37/B38 till Zwettl
take the exit B36 towards Waidhofen/Thaya
leave B36 for the side-road towards Kirchberg/Walde, Gmünd
in Kirchberg/Walde follow the traffics signs towards Weißenalbern, Waldenstein

then you follow A23 towards Praha
change at interchange Knoten Kaisermühlen to A22 towards Praha
change to S5 at interchange Knoten Stockerau towards Krems / St. Pölten

from Krems on follow B37 und B38 till Zwettl
in Zwettl you follow B36 towards Waidhofen/Thaya until the junction towards Kirchberg/Walde, Gmünd i

you follow A4 until the interchange Knoten Schwechat
here you change to S1 towards Linz
at interchange Knoten Vösendorf follow A21 towards Linz / St. Pölten

Here is a hint: You follow best the European Route signs E55 / E49!

from Prague take motorway D1 towards Brno
leave D1 at exit 21 towards Linz / C. Budejovice on E55
leave E55 at Veseli towards Trebon on E49
follow E49 till the border to Austria at Neu-Nagelberg and Schrems
in Schrems leave E49 for street B41 towards Gmünd
leave B41 at the second traffice circle in Gmünd towards Waldenstein

Here we would like to give you a detailed description how to reach the campsite within Waldenstein.

You are coming from Gmünd or Zwettl on street L69.
Please follow the street until you reach the turnoff in the direction of "Weißenalbern, Klein Ruprechts" on street L8211.
Follow the street for about 400 m and turn left after the town sign "Waldenstein" (before crossing the bridge). Here is the access to Camping Waldenstein.

If you are heading from Kirchberg via Weißenalbern, Klein Ruprechts, you will reach the campsite after crossing the bridge in the small dell.

If you are coming from Weitra via Hörmanns, please turn right on street L69 towards Zwettl, Groß Neusiedl. At the turnoff in the direction of Weißenalbern, Kleinruprechts on street L8211 follow this street.
